Chris Brown fears his home addresses being leaked to the public could led to harassment and he rushed to court to prevent it, In Touch can exclusively report.
On May 2, Chris’ legal team filed an emergency motion, obtained by In Touch, seeking a protective order prohibiting the release of the singer’s deposition.

As In Touch previously reported, Chris, 35, and his former housekeeper, Maria Avila, are in the middle of a $90 million legal battle.

Maria claimed she was working at Chris’ home in Los Angeles on December 12, 2020. In her suit, she said while taking out the trash she was attacked by a large Caucasian Ovcharka shepherd dog named Hades.
The housekeeper claimed the dog mauled her face and arms. She demanded damages for the alleged injuries, including disfigurement.

In his recent motion, Chris explained he was deposed on April 30 at Maria’s lawyers’ office.
Chris’ lawyer said he requested Maria’s lawyer agree to a protective order which would prevent the release of the deposition. Maria’s lawyer did not agree.
Chris’ lawyer said he instructed Chris not to answer certain questions as a result, including requests for his social security number and the names of other family members.
His lawyer explained, “The deposition went forward, during which Mr. Brown’s home address and mother’s name were revealed.”

He said Maria’s refusal to agree to keep Chris testimony “within the bounds of this lawsuit is worrisome.”
In addition, Chris explained he has fears for his address being leaked.
“Mr. Brown has historically had issues with intruders and trespassers on his property, a property at which not only he but also his minor children and other family members spend time,” his lawyer alleged. “On one occasion, after having returned from a tour, Mr. Brown came home to a stranger who had broken into and was living in his house.”

Chris lawyer continued, “These sorts of targeted break-ins not only constitute an ‘unwarranted annoyance’ but also threaten Mr. Brown’s and his family’s safety.”
“In addition to putting his and his family’s safety at issue, there is also a risk of exposing him to public ridicule by allowing his deposition testimony to be disseminated to the public via a news outlet, social media, or other means,” the motion read.
The judge has yet to rule.
As In Touch first reported, on top of the lawsuit over the alleged dog attack, Chris was recently sued by a fan who claims he defamed her on social media. The singer has yet to respond to the case in court.
In addition, Chris filed a $500 million defamation lawsuit over a recent documentary. The defendants denied all allegations of wrongdoing.
