EFSC Softball Heads to the FCSAA Title Chase

The Titans are hitting the ropes of the FCSAA Division I Softball Championship for the second year in a row, and they’re not just showing up — they’re coming with a fresh lineup that feels more like a sophomore spring break than a high‑school reunion.

Roster Shuffle: Five Fresh Faces in the Field

  • Pitchers Luci Walters & Alana O’Brian – These two have been the backbone when the Titans took the mound the previous season, but this year they’re just the starting part of a bigger picture.
  • Ashley Grieser & Ashley Corazzini – Reliable hitters; Grieser is the Top‑line triplester (.314 average, four triples), while Corazzini racks up 15 doubles and 46 runs.
  • Left‑fielder Kayla Fanning – 12 stolen bases and outfield wizardry makes her a shining star.
  • New‑comer Kings: Avery Velazquez & Aracelis Jimenez – Avery lights up the game as the ace pitcher and a All‑FCSAA first‑team pick (.414 hitter, 22 doubles, 65 RBI). Jimenez leads the league with 23 steals and continues to set the pace at the top spot.

Opponents: Northwest Florida State College (The Raiders)

  • Seed: #2 – The Raiders are riding a perfect season (54‑2) and carry a pretty heavy trophy column. She’ll be gasping in the Panhandle Conference.
  • Dominic Sister Arnold – The FCSAA Player of the Year with a .437 average, 12 homers, and 50 RBIs.
  • Cailyn Heyl – A 28‑win, 0.83 ERA phenom whose innings spent 143 barlines.
  • Lulu Luedtke – Lit up the majors with 14 homers and 63 RBI, keeping the competition on its toes.

What to Expect on Wednesday

Our first taste of championship action comes at 10 am in Clearwater. Even if you’re making a trek from Florida’s back roads, you can follow every flip and flick from your couch because the FCSAA Digital Network will be streaming live. For you ground‑and‑ground lovers, just remember: the Titans are the #7 seed, so they’ll be the ones lighting the court‑mates on fire.

Tickets & How to Watch

$12 per day is all you need to let your favorite team battle it out. Extra perk – kids under five get a free pass when you’re buying a ticket for an adult.

Ticket buying is a pre‑purchase thing. If you’re in the groove of seeing all the fireworks (and hopefully a few wins), you’ll want to secure your spot before the next round of play rains in.
