    What is Bleeding Gums?

Bleeding gums is one of the most common and unpleasant symptoms of several oral diseases at once. It not only causes discomfort in everyday life, but can also cause significant harm to health if you do not go to the dentist for treatment in time.ContentsWhat is Bleeding Gums? Why do gums bleed? What else can cause bleeding gums?Where to start if your gums are bleeding?Treatments for bleeding gumsPrevention of bleeding gums

    Why do gums bleed?

As a rule, the causes of bleeding gums are associated with periodontal tissue diseases. It could be gingivitis or periodontitis. What is the difference?

The mildest form of gum disease is gingivitis and fortunately, it does not cause any irreversible change in the tissues of the mouth. With timely treatment, everything can be brought back to normal quickly enough. But if gingivitis is not treated, it turns into periodontitis, in which the ligament between the tooth and the gum is destroyed, and the inflammatory process spreads from the gum to the bone tissue. This disease is already an order of extent more serious, because the teeth become mobile, and they can be lost.

What else can cause bleeding gums?

    Stomatitis

This is a lesion of the oral mucosa, which, in addition to bleeding, is assembled with the appearance of small ulcers, bad breath, painful sensations when eating

    Incorrect selection of hygiene products

If the toothbrush you are using is too hard, it can damage your gums, especially if you use it too much. Also, be careful with dental floss and toothpicks, which can harm your gums.

    Surgical interventions

If bleeding gums are present in the first few hours after a tooth extraction or other surgical procedure, you have no cause for concern. Just follow your doctor’s advice. But if the bleeding lasts longer than a day, be sure to consult a doctor.

    Pregnancy

In the body of a pregnant woman, serious hormonal changes occur, due to which the gums are severely affected. Also, bleeding can be observed in those who are undergoing treatment with hormonal drugs.

    Smoking

In smokers, local immunity in the oral cavity is significantly reduced, which leads to gum inflammation and bleeding. Dentists recommend getting rid of this habit – both gums and teeth suffer from it.

    Lack of vitamins

First of all, we are talking about vitamin C – if it is not enough, scurvy can develop, in which, you may lose teeth.

    Some diseases of the body

For example, diabetes mellitus, leukemia, hemophilia. Also, if you take blood thinning medications, your gums may start to bleed.

Where to start if your gums are bleeding?

As a rule, the gums begin to bleed gradually – at first you see very little blood while brushing your teeth or eat solid foods, but then the amount increases. Do not forget that time in this case is your best ally, and it is important to see a doctor as soon as the first symptoms appear.

Treatment of bleeding gums should begin with a thorough diagnosis and identification of the causes. Do not forget that bleeding, if it is not caused by mechanical injury or external factors, is usually only one of the symptoms of an oral disease (most often, gingivitis or periodontitis). The most modern and effective method is periodontal diagnostics using the Florida Probe computer system. This system, which has recently become an indispensable assistant to periodontists, is able to identify the problem at an early stage in 25 minutes.

    Treatments for bleeding gums

Gorshenina Irina Sergeevna says, “Bleeding gums is a serious symptom that requires immediate treatment. Many patients come to the doctor only when the disease has already passed into an advanced stage. Remember, the sooner you ask for help, the easier and faster it will be to solve your problem.” How the bleeding is treated depends mainly on the underlying cause. If we are talking about the appearance of blood after surgical procedures or injuries, it is necessary to carefully monitor so as not to introduce infection, but in general, the healing process will not require additional manipulations.

If we are talking about bleeding, which is caused by gum disease, we must first of all eliminate the cause of the inflammation. You can argue a lot about the effectiveness of alternative methods, but not a single home recipe is able to cure the gums – relief will come only temporarily while the symptoms are blocked, but then everything will return with renewed vigor. Hence, this is important not to rely on traditional medicine, but to entrust your health to professionals.

Among the methods that have positively proven themselves is the treatment with the Vector Paro apparatus, which involves the treatment of periodontal pockets using ultrasound. It is there that deposits accumulate, which often lead to inflammation and bleeding. Treatment involves several sessions, but after the first of them, the discomfort is significantly reduced, the gums acquire a healthy color, and bleeding decreases.

After treatment with the Vector Paro device, it is recommended to consolidate the result using photodynamic therapy. This is a photo-activated disinfection procedure with FotoSan, which kills germs and does not have any side effects.

    Prevention of bleeding gums

The most effective prevention of bleeding gums is good oral hygiene. Monitor your health, brush your teeth 2 times a day, use additional hygiene products (irrigators, dental floss, rinses, etc.). And, of course, do not forget to visit your dentist for a check-up and professional hygiene procedure.

  • Klarna's IPO pops, raising .4B, with Sequoia as the biggest winner

Klarna's IPO pops, raising $1.4B, with Sequoia as the biggest winner

It’s been a long road for the 20-year-old fintech Klarna to make it to an IPO. But on Wednesday, the company successfully landed on the New York Stock Exchange, having raised $1.4 billion, largely for its existing investors, rather than itself.

The fintech giant sold shares at $40, above its announced range of $35 to $37, and came out of the gate with a $15 billion valuation. Shares popped, opening at $52, though quickly settling down to around $46 mid-day.

Of the 34.3 million shares Klarna sold, only 5 million were sold by the company, it said. The rest were sold by existing investors like the company’s largest shareholder Sequoia Capital. Entities controlled by Danish billionaire Anders Holch Povlsen, Silver Lake, BlackRock, and many others sold as well. Despite cashing out some shares, all of them are holding onto the majority of their stakes.

Figma’s IPO did a similar thing. Yet, often these existing investors don’t want to sell at the IPO price, a VC told TechCrunch. They kick in shares to help the company meet IPO demand. Floating more shares helps the company obtain a more accurate, and perhaps higher, valuation out of the gate because it helps the IPO attract the biggest institutional investors who wouldn’t bother with an IPO for a small allocation.

In Klarna’s case co-founder CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski did not sell any shares. His stake was worth $1.02 billion at the IPO selling price of $40 and he controls about 7.5% of the company.

Victor Jacobsson, the co-founder who left the company in 2012, did sell but was, and still is, a slightly larger shareholder. He cashed out of 1.1 million shares and still retains over 8% of the company.

Co-founder Niklas Adalberth still owns just under 3 million shares, Klarna disclosed.

Sequoia is by far the biggest investor in Klarna, controlling nearly 23% of the company. Famed VC Michael Moritz wrote Klarna’s first check on Sequoia’s behalf in 2010, and stayed on as Klarna’s chairperson even after he left Sequoia in 2023. Some drama ensued when Sequoia added another member to Klarna’s board. But it eventually sorted itself out when Sequoia’s Andrew Reed joined its board in 2024.

“This moment feels surreal,” Siemiatkowski shared in published remarks. “When we started Klarna back in 2005, it was just a wild idea — me, Niklas, and Victor, fumbling around, trying to make shopping and payments smoother for people. We got rejected left and right, laughed at more times than I can count. But we kept going.”

He continued, “Going public in New York is huge. It’s not just a milestone; it’s a statement. It’s proof that a bunch of stubborn dreamers from Stockholm can take on the world — and win.”

Interestingly, though, $1.4 billion is not the record for the biggest IPO of 2025. That’s still held by CoreWeave, which raised $1.5 billion in June.

Correction: This story originally misidentified the nationality of Anders Holch Povlsen. That information has been updated.

Atlassian to buy Arc developer The Browser Company for $610M

Productivity software maker Atlassian has agreed to acquire The Browser Company, which makes the Arc and Dia browsers, for $610 million in cash.

“Today’s browsers weren’t built for work; they were built for browsing. This deal is a bold step forward in reimagining the browser for knowledge work in the AI era,” Mike Cannon-Brookes, Atlassian’s CEO and co-founder, said in a statement.

“Together, we’ll create an AI-powered browser optimized for the many SaaS applications living in tabs – one that knowledge workers will love to use every day,” he added.

The Browser Company’s CEO Josh Miller, said on a post on X that his company will operate independently under Atlassian and will continue to develop Dia, the browser it started working on last year after deciding to stop development of its previous browser, Arc.

Miller said that the deal would allow The Browser Company to hire and ship features faster and support multiple platforms.

The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of Atlassian’s fiscal year 2026.

The Browser Company most recently raised $50 million at a $550 million valuation last year. The startup has so far raised $128 million in total across multiple rounds, and its investors include Pace Capital, LinkedIn’s Jeff Weiner, Medium’s Ev Williams, Figma’s Dylan Field, Notion’s Akshay Kothari, and GitHub’s Jason Warner.

'A true heritage crime': Nearly 50,000 sign petition against loan of Bayeux Tapestry to London

The petition warns that transporting the fragile, thousand-year-old embroidery could cause irreparable damage.

For nearly a thousand years, the Bayeux Tapestry hasn’t budged from France.
Now, a plan to send the fragile embroidery across the Channel to London’s British Museum has ignited a storm of protest – with almost 50,000 people signing a petition that warns that one wrong move could destroy one of Europe’s greatest treasures.

The campaign, launched in July by French art historian Didier Rykner, argues that transporting the fragile embroidery to London’s British Museum is “a true heritage crime” and could cause irreparable damage to its linen fabric. Textile experts have echoed those fears.
“I think the tapestry must not be transported, for several reasons: its value is incalculable and if anything happens to it no amount of money and no other similar object can replace it,” the former director of the Bayeux Tapestry Museum, Isabelle Attard, told The Art Newspaper.
She added: “It’s [also] extremely fragile because of its age, past movements over the centuries, the way it has been subjected to almost non-stop lighting since its return to Bayeux after World War 2, and the way it’s currently presented, sewn to a textile support hung from a rail on little roller bearings, creating tensions everywhere.”

Rykner, editor of La Tribune de l’Art, is no stranger to high-profile cultural battles. He previously rallied nearly 300,000 signatures against Macron’s plan to install contemporary stained glass at Notre Dame Cathedral, though that effort ultimately failed.
The tapestry, which depicts the events leading up to the Norman conquest of England and the Battle of Hastings in 1066, and depicts 626 characters, 41 ships and 202 horses, is scheduled to go on display in London between September 2026 and July 2027 while its home in Normandy undergoes renovations.
When French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed the loan during his 2025 state visit to the UK – the first by an EU leader since Brexit – the symbolism wasn’t lost on either side of the Channel. After years of chilled relations, the move was seen as a gesture of renewed cultural warmth.
But the tapestry’s journey is also a literal homecoming. Historians widely believe it was originally stitched in England using wool thread on linen, meaning its temporary return will reunite it with its place of origin, says Bayeux Museum curator Antoine Verney.

The tapestry has survived invasions, revolutions and world wars. Napoleon displayed it in Paris in 1804, and the Allies rolled it out again in 1944 after liberating France. But even with that pedigree, its age is showing: “The textile fibres are 900 years old. So they have naturally degraded simply due to age,” Verney said. “But at the same time, this is a work that has already travelled extensively and been handled a great deal.”
Details of how it will be moved remain under discussion. The transfer is being worked out between the British and French governments, with conservation teams weighing every option – from humidity control and vibration monitoring to custom-built containers.

    • In the trenches – The idea was never a hot‑button issue among the team.
    • Out there on the street – People saw the move as “just another profit‑boosting ploy” or a plot to ditch people.

  • From Italy’s Dolomites to Norway’s Fjords: Walking routes soar in popularity as Europe swelters

If you’re looking for a fresher escape this summer, here are a few hiking routes to consider.

Europe is currently sweltering amid a brutal heatwave, with temperatures soaring above 40°C in some areas.
It’s a similar story to last summer and, unsurprisingly, travellers are beginning to adapt.

Already, one study has crunched the numbers and found that visitors are shying away from hot destinations this summer.
The research by CaixaBank claims that up to 14 per cent of international visitors who would normally holiday in Spain have chosen to look elsewhere amid record-breaking temperatures in recent years.
The result is a pivot to so-called ‘coolcations’.
Walking holidays specialist and co-op HF Holidays also reports that many of its mountainous and northern walking trips have been selling out.
If you’re looking for a fresher escape this summer, here are a few hiking routes to consider.

Walk through breathtaking landscapes in Italy’s Dolomites

Last year, a new hiking trail winding through the wild, nature-rich landscape of Italy’s Dolomites mountain range opened.
The Cammino Retico is named after the ancient Raeti people who lived in the area in pre-Roman times.
It connects various remote villages between the Veneto and Trentino regions. Set out by the social association Carpe Diem, the Cammino Retico begins and ends in Aune di Sovramonte, near the city of Belluno.
The circular route is 170 kilometres long and can typically be completed in seven days.

The trail is well-marked and has amenities such as benches, shelters and fireplaces.

Hiking for beginners in the Tatra Mountains

The Tatra Mountains are part of the Carpathian chain, which forms a natural border between Poland and Slovakia. Many trails are extremely accessible, making it the perfect place for hikers with limited experience of trekking through the mountains.
On the Slovakian side, you can even take a cable railway such as the Kasprowy Wierch, which takes you to the Lomnitz Peak, the High Tatras’ second highest mountain at 2634 metres.
In summer, head up high for a breath of fresh air amid icy lakes and wildflower meadows.

Trek through fjords and mountains on St Olav’s Way

Saint Olav’s Way in Norway is an ancient pilgrimage on Europe’s list of walking routes.
Seven possible routes take trekkers through rural parts of the country to Trondheim Cathedral, where Saint Olav, who was King of Norway from 1015 to 1028, is said to be buried.

Ever wondered how scientists turn a teeny‑tiny seed into a sparkling gem that could outshine a real diamond? It’s not a wizard’s spell—though it feels like one. Here’s the low‑down, broken down for your everyday curiosity.

Step 1: The Seed, the Tiny Hero

Every diamond starts with a minuscule seed. Think of it like the foundation of a skyscraper—only in diamond form. That seed is so small, you could almost carry it on the tip of your finger (well, maybe not that literally).

Step 2: The Furnace—Hot Enough To Make the Sun Jealous

The seed gets tucked into a high‑tech machine, usually called a furnace. Inside, the temperature can reach over 2,500 °C, hotter than the surface of the sun! This intense heat breaks apart the carbon atoms, forcing them to dance together to form a lattice of perfect crystal—a diamond.

Step 3: Growth—A Slow, Patient Goliath

Under those blazing conditions, the seed slowly expands. Imagine a figure skating routine that takes weeks but builds into a dazzling masterpiece. The process might take anywhere from a few weeks to months, but the final result is a clean‑cut, lab‑grown diamond that looks just like… well, the real thing.

    Why Does This Matter?

    • Eco‑Friendly: No mining, no broken dams.
    • Cost‑Effective: Less money for the same shine.
    • Customizable: You can tweak color, clarity, with a bag of tricks.
    Bottom Line

Creating a lab‑grown diamond is a blend of science, patience, and a touch of “wow.” While not quite a Harry‑Potter spell, it’s a real‑world marvel that turns carbon into art—one heat wave at a time.

  • Scarlett Johansson and AC/DC Energize American Farms, Driving Wolves Away!

How Aussie Rock and a Scarlett Johansson Vibe Are Herding Cattle Away From Trouble

Why the Wild West Is Turning to Unexpected Solutions

The orchards of the US northwest are facing a new kind of threat—cattle are getting caught up in livestock attacks that threaten safety and productivity. Strangely enough, the answer comes from two places you’d never guess: an Australian rock band and an iconic clip from a Scarlett Johansson movie. Here’s the wild scoop.

Meet the Band That’s Rocking the Ranch

    • The Screaming Jets—yes, the Aussie hard‑rockers—have started a campaign that uses their live stage music as a noise deterrent against wandering cows.
    • By blasting high‑energy tracks during off‑peak hours, the cattle get distracted and left alone during the night.
    • Farmers in Montana and Idaho are already reporting fewer break‑downs and no more mysterious hoof‑prints on sidewalks.

    The Scarlett Johansson Hook

    • A movie clip from “Avengers: Infinity War”—specifically the scene where Johansson’s character dances on the clouds—has a calming effect on cattle when synced with a low‑volume music player.
    • The metallic hum of the soundtrack supposedly “neutralizes” the usual alarm calls that trigger aggressive herd behavior.
    • One rancher from Oregon claims his cows stopped slamming gates and even started “sniffing the melody”!

Science, Sound, and a Dash of Star Power

Researchers from the University of Colorado have analyzed the frequency patterns from both sources and found that they fall within a range that cattle find soothing. They say it’s all about creating a non-threatening sonic environment that lets the animals do their thing without panic.

What the Grassroots Movement Looks Like

    • Ranchers are setting up temporary soundboards during heatwaves.
    • Micro‑foreign MP3 playlists featuring The Screaming Jets tracks are merged with short cuts from Scarlett’s film.
    • Some farmers have even started a community “Sound Squad” to coordinate playlists.

    Why This Matters

For a country that stresses on animal welfare and agricultural efficiency, this low‑cost, low‑disruption solution offers a new frontier. Farmers say the technique reduces labor costs and boosts herd calmness without using chemicals or fencing.

So next time you hear a distant rumble over a rural field, remember: it might just be a band from Australia or a star on the screen, trying to keep the cows happy—because nothing beats good music to keep a herd in line.

American Farmers Face a Wild New Problem

Since wolves were reintroduced to Yellowstone in 1995, canis lupus numbers have spiked, turning the prairie into a real-life predator playground.

With cattle and sheep under constant threat, farmers are stuck in a tough spot: the wolves are protected, which means no harming them is allowed. It’s a true showdown between ranchers and the wild.

Drones with a Rock Twist Take the Stage

In the rural northwest, a tech miracle has arrived: Quadcopter drones equipped with speakers that blast AC/DC alongside Scarlett Johansson’s voice.

While blasting electrifying rock might sound like a standard “drive the wolves away” tactic, adding a cinematic snark is a little more unexpected.

The USDA told WSJ that the dissonant vocal confrontation from the 2019 drama Marriage Story – the argument between Scarlett and Adam – can actually startle wolves.

“We need to make wolves feel the bad vibes from humans,” said Paul Wolf, a USDA district supervisor in Oregon. He’d jokingly described the scene as “a perfect battlefield for wolves.”

Unlike the styled couple Nicole and Charlie on the screen, the countryside agrarian vibe is quite raw – but farmers need to keep calm against the beast.

    Success on the Frontier

After deploying the drones, wolf attacks in Oregon dropped visibly. In Southern Oregon, cows killed fell from 11 in a 20‑day span to just 2 in the next 85 days.

Here are some classic on-screen fights you’re already sure can rock:

    • Jack Nicholson vs. Tom Cruise in A Few Good Men
    • Joe Pesci’s laugh‑off in Goodfellas
    • The sharp exchange between Jesse & Celine in Before Midnight
    • The “You’re tearing me apart, Lisa” cut from The Room
    • Ben Kingsley’s “Yes! Yes! Yes!” shout in Sexy Beast

These scenes surely give wolves a head‑long scare – or feel, forever.

    Scorching Hollywood with Scarlett

Scarlett Johansson, 40, recently shattered a Hollywood record—she’s now the most bankable lead performer in the industry.

This hype came on the back of her blockbuster win in Jurassic World Rebirth, confirming her status in the silver screen realm.

Scarlett Johansson Shines at the Box Office Spotlight

She’s officially the money‑making superstar of Hollywood. With a staggering $14.8 billion haul from all her movies—whether she’s headlining or standing in the crowd—Johansson tops the leaderboard of highest‑grossing lead actors ever.

    Box Office Highlights

    • Avengers: Endgame – $2.7 billion
    • Avengers: Infinity War – $2.0 billion
    • The Avengers – $1.5 billion
    • Avengers: Age of Ultron – $1.4 billion
    • Captain America: Civil War – $1.1 billion
    • The Jungle Book – $0.95 billion
    • Captain America: The Winter Soldier – $0.71 billion
    • Sing – $0.63 billion
    • Iron Man 2 – $0.62 billion
    • Lucy – $0.46 billion

Jurassic World: Rebirth – A Bit of Nostalgia, A Bit of Watched‑af For All

Gareth Edwards brings his slick direction to the park, cranking out a series of nicely staged CGI moments—especially the riverbed scuffle with a snoozing T‑rex that will have you biting down on your popcorn. Yet the film feels more like a nostalgic pay‑back than a bold new chapter. It pays homage to Spielberg’s original thriller but falls short of the daring revival it could have been—results in a passably entertaining, if somewhat recycled, experience.

    Coming Up: Paper Tiger

Next on the silver screen, Johansson will lend her charm to James Gray’s crime drama Paper Tiger, pairing up again with Adam Driver. We hope the dynamic duo will send the wolves packing—but maybe, just maybe, we’ll enjoy a little less heartbreak than the lingering sting from “Marriage Story.”

HBO Max is going to get more expensive, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO says

Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav has stated that HBO Max will become more expensive, while also making it harder to share passwords, as first reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Zaslav spoke about the future of the streaming service at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference.

“The fact that this is quality — and that’s true across our company, motion picture, TV production, and streaming quality — we all think that gives us a chance to raise price,” he said. “We think we’re way underpriced.”

Zaslav also said that the streaming service’s crackdown on passwords will be coming in the future.

“We haven’t been pushing on the password sharing and the economics yet,” he said. “People are really starting to love HBO Max. That’s the key. We want them to fall in love with our content, with our series, with the differentiated offering outside of the U.S. It’s all tricky with the password sharing. We’re going to begin to push on that.”

Currently, a Basic with Ads plan costs $9.99 per month, a Standard plan costs $16.99 per month, and a Premium plan costs $20.99 per month.

TikTok denies India comeback after reports of website going live

TikTok has not been unbanned in India, TechCrunch confirmed Friday, despite brief website access that sparked media reports of a possible comeback after more than five years.

A TikTok spokesperson told TechCrunch that the Chinese-owned social media platform’s ban by the Indian government remains in place, and the short-video platform is not accessible in the country.

“We have not restored access to TikTok in India and continue to comply with the Government of India’s directive,” the spokesperson said in a statement emailed to TechCrunch.

A senior official at India’s IT Ministry also confirmed to TechCrunch, on condition of anonymity, that the government has not “unblocked or done anything” to revoke the ban imposed under Section 69A of the IT Act.

Earlier on Friday, several local media outlets — including leading Indian dailies — suggested that TikTok was making a comeback in India after its website was briefly accessible to some Indian users. The reports cited posts on social media from users who claimed the site loaded without a VPN — an unusual development, given that the Indian government has blocked access to TikTok since late June 2020, when it banned the short-video platform along with dozens of other Chinese-linked apps amid rising tensions between the two countries.

The brief and sudden reappearance of TikTok in India appears to be the result of a network-level misconfiguration. A similar incident occurred in September 2022, when some internet service providers inadvertently unblocked TikTok and other restricted sites for certain users while applying a patch, a source familiar with the matter told TechCrunch at the time.

  • TikTok Updates: Fresh Rules for Live Creators & AI Content

New TikTok Community Guidelines Are Coming

TikTok is about to drop a fresh batch of rules on its Community Guidelines, the playbook that tells creators and users what’s allowed on the platform and how the For You feed decides what to show. The update mainly does a quick rewrite for readability, but a few things stand out: the focus on marketplace, sharper personalization, and a tweak in the deal with AI‑generated content.

When Will These Rules Take Effect?

Starting September 13, 2025, the new guidelines will roll out. The changes aren’t as dramatic as a blockbuster reboot – it’s more like a “get the same game with a cleaner box” situation.

The Live Stream Section Gets a Dose of Extra Drama

    • Creator responsibility on Live. TikTok reminds streamers that they’re in charge of everything that happens during their broadcast, even if they’re using cool third‑party tools like real‑time translations or voice‑to‑text that read comments out loud.
    • Watch those tools. If a tool’s translating or reading back comments, make sure it’s not slipping past the rules. TikTok wants creators to keep tabs on what their external apps are doing.
    • New rules for sponsored content. If you’re promoting a product, you’ve got to call it out. TikTok wants transparency on every commercial shout‑out.
    • Off‑platform sales get lower visibility. Content that directs viewers to buy stuff outside of TikTok Shop—especially in markets where the shop is active—will get a hit in the algorithm’s favors.

    What About AI‑Generated Videos?

There’s a minor tweak in the AI realm: the platform has loosened some restrictions on certain types of AI‑created content. The goal? Let creators experiment while staying within the safety net.

    Why This Update Matters

Across the world, social media is under the microscope from laws like the UK’s Online Safety Act, the EU’s Digital Services Act, and the US’s TAKE IT DOWN Act. These rules push brands and platforms to tighten things up. TikTok’s latest guidelines are a straight‑forward response to those regulatory pushes, with a sprinkle of new content‑specific clarifications.

    Keeping Tabs: The TechCrunch Connection

Just yesterday, Bluesky rolled out an update, a reminder that the digital landscape is in constant flux. TikTok’s changes echo this same trend—policy updates are happening in real time.

TikTok’s New Rules: Personalised Search, Comments, and a Cleaner AI Policy

The biggest update from the platform noone expected is that everything you see on TikTok is now custom‑made for you. That includes not just the recommendations in the For You feed, but the search results and even comments that pop up.

    Personalised Search In A Nutshell

    • When you type in a query, TikTok pulls in data from your previous searches and what you’ve watched to surface the most relevant results.
    • That means two people searching for “pasta” could get entirely different videos in the results.

    Comments That Suit Your Taste

Did you know TikTok now sorts the comment section based on signals like:

    • Past replies you’ve made
    • Likes you’ve received on your own comments
    • The number of reports that other users have filed against certain comments

In short, the comment thread feels as personal as the feed. Someone who loves cheesy jokes will see that flavor more often.

AI‑Generated Content Gets a Tightening Grip

The platform has trimmed the blog‑style jargon that used to describe prohibitions on deepfakes. Instead of a long list of weirdly worded restrictions, TikTok now says:

    • You can’t post content that is “misleading about matters of public importance or harmful to individuals.”
    • That covers everything from fake news about elections to disturbing depictions with no real intent to joke.

And guess what? The line about “AI‑endorsed content” disappeared. A subtle hint that TikTok might, in the future, allow real‑life celebrities to put their stamp on AI‑generated videos. Stay tuned!

The For You Feed Rules? All Over the Place

Once a tidy list, The FAQs section on what is not eligible for the For You feed has now been scattered through the entire guidelines. With that, the old handy checklist is gone—making it a bit of a puzzle to figure out what doesn’t qualify.

    New Reasoning for Moderation

Earlier, they said moderation keeps the platform “safe, trustworthy, and vibrant.” The new phrasing has shifted to “safe, fun, and creative for everyone.” Looks like “trustworthy” fell out of the lineup. Maybe they’re looking for a less formal vibe!

All in all, TikTok’s revamped guidelines steer the platform toward a more personal, safer, and slightly lighter-ish user experience—while tightening up the AI content rules and scattering the rulebook for a bit more mystery. Enjoy the new, more tailored feed—just keep an eye on those deepfakes!
