Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (21 Jump Street, The Lego Movie), the film is based on the 2021 novel of the same name by Andy Weir (author of “The Martian”) and stars Gosling as Ryland Grace, a man who wakes up on a space station.

Snag is that he’s not an astronaut. He’s a science teacher with no recolection of what his mission is.Project Hail Mary

Project Hail Mary: The Star‑Pumping Sci‑Fi Delight

All aboard! The big space buster from Amazon MGM Studios is gearing up to hit our screens in March 2026. It’s a wild mix of drama and laughs (yes, a galaxy‑wide comedic punch?). In the vein of Danny Boyle’s classic Sunshine, we follow a lone hero who gets blasted into the cosmos, with the mission to save the Solar System from a doom‑sentence that would leave the sun dying out. But don’t worry – he’s got a cheat sheet: Flashy space gadgets, a gleeful crew, and the great Sandra Hüller, whose résumé reads Toni Erdmann, Anatomy of a Fall, and The Zone of Interest.

The Trailer That Blew Up the Internet

The trailer has already blasted past 400 million views online.

    • Non‑remake, non‑sequel masterpiece.
    • Highest views in a single week for an original film trailer.
    • Fans are calling it the “meme of the century.”

Directors Throw Fanfare to the Crowd

Lord and Miller posted a breezy thank‑you on X:

“Holy Moly! Thank you all you glorious generous fans of movies / books / near light speed space travel / the Sun for pushing the trailer over 400 million views – the most in one week for a non‑sequel, non‑remake original film trailer… ever. Can’t wait to thank some of you in person at San Diego Comic‑Con in Hall H with our pals Ryan, Andy, and Drew (Goddard, screenwriter) ….and a few other surprises…”

    Ready to blast off?

Mark your calendars: 20 March 2026. Get ready to laugh, cheer, and maybe cry a little as the plot pans across the galaxy.

Activities Used in Telehealth Group Therapy – Health Cages

Telehealth group therapy creates a structured and supportive space where individuals connect from remote settings. These sessions help participants share experiences and support one another, even when they can’t meet in person. Therapists incorporate activities tailored for a virtual platform to boost engagement and learning. Used together, these exercises can foster a sense of community, encourage self-reflection, and build skills.

    (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({})

    Building Trust Together

Building trust is benefical in any group setting, including telehealth group therapy. The first sessions often include activities to help members feel at ease, such as “two truths and a lie.” Each person shares three statements, and the others guess which one is false. Another activity is virtual “show and tell,” where members share a meaningful object from home. These activities can bring a sense of safety and help form deeper connections, which are useful for telehealth group therapy to succeed.

    (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({})

    Practicing Mindful Awareness

Mindfulness activities are often used in group therapy to help participants stay grounded in the present moment and manage stress. In a telehealth setting, therapists can lead guided meditations. Participants are instructed to close their eyes and focus on their breath or bodily sensations during these sessions.

    (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({})

Progressive muscle relaxation is another effective technique used in telehealth. The therapist verbally guides the group through tensing and releasing different muscle groups to promote relaxation. These practices are easily facilitated through audio, allowing individuals to feel calmer and more self-aware without needing to be physically present.

    (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({})

    Exploring Creative Expression

Creative arts can serve as a powerful medium for expressing emotions that are difficult to put into words. Telehealth platforms can support these activities through screen-sharing and digital tools. Some participants might be asked to use a simple online drawing tool to create an image that represents their current mood or a specific challenge they are facing.

Another approach is collaborative storytelling, where one person starts a story and each member adds a sentence, creating a shared narrative. Journaling is also a common practice. Members are given a prompt and time to write before having the option to share their reflections with the group.

    (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({})

    Developing Coping Skills

Learning coping skills is a main goal of group therapy. Telehealth sessions leverage features like breakout rooms and virtual whiteboards. These tools enhance learning by making sessions more interactive. Groups may brainstorm healthy responses to stress using a shared online board. This creates a visual list of strategies everyone can use. Role-playing can help members practice new communication or conflict management skills while practicing with the group provides guidance and immediate feedback.

Strengthen Growth in Telehealth Group Therapy

The activities used in telehealth group therapy are carefully selected to foster connection, promote self-discovery, and build resilience within a virtual community. By adapting established therapeutic techniques for the digital space, therapists can create a supportive environment that encourages personal growth. These structured exercises helps keep patients engaged and can help them work toward their therapeutic goals together. If you are looking into group therapy, contact a qualified provider to learn more.

  • Revitalize Your Space: Wellness Journey After Loss

Revitalize Your Space: Wellness Journey After Loss

Losing a Loved One Shakes Your Whole World – Even Your Living Space

When someone you love slips away, the house that once felt alive turns into a quiet echo chamber. The empty chair at the dinner table, the untouched stuff in the closet, the hallway that’s suddenly a whisper. Moving on isn’t about erasing the past; it’s about finding a gentle path to heal, and that journey starts inside the walls of your home.

Here’s How You Can Reclaim and Refresh Your Space

    Table of Contents

    • Clean Every Corner
    • Take Your Time – No Rush Allowed
    • Create a Simple Let‑Go Ritual
    • Redefine Your Space Intentionally
    • Refresh Colors and Scents
    • Set Up a Tribute Spot (If It Feels Right)
    • Wrap It Up
    1. Clean Every Corner of Your Home

    Start with a spring-cleaning spree:

    • Dust that stale bookshelf until the dust pops.
    • Wipe down counters that only hold memories.
    • Vacuum the floor—make it feel like it’s breathing again.
    2. Give Yourself Permission to Move at Your Own Pace

Don’t power‑trip the clock. Your healing timeline is yours:

    • Set a “you‑time” goal like 5 minutes a day to stare at your reflection.
    • Invite family to share stories in a supportive “no‑hurried” mode.
    3. Create a Ritual of Letting Go

Rituals are powerful tools. Think of this as a low‑key ceremony:

    • Pick a small item—like a photo or a piece of jewelry—to honor.
    • Write a note or say a few words aloud.
    • Recite a short, comforting mantra while dropping the item into a symbolic pouch.
    4. Redefine Your Space with Intention

Replace the “stuck” vibe with fresh purpose:

    • Reshape furniture layout to flow better – “let the light flow in!”
    • Introduce new décor items that spark positivity.
    • Make the space a canvas—start with a fresh idea each week.
    5. Change Home Color Schemes and Scents

Color and fragrance help reset mood:

    • Pick calming hues such as lilac or soft teal.
    • Add new scented candles or essential oils – lavender = calm.
    • Try a diffused sunrise scent for positive vibes when you’re stuck in a dusk mood.
    6. Dedicate a Tribute Space (If It Feels Right)

If you’re ready, carve out a corner as a tribute:

    • Place a photo or a cherished item on a small shelf.
    • Keep it bright but warm – not too dark.
    • Use a small stack of candles to add emotional warmth.
    Wrapping Up

You won’t forget, but you’ll discover a comfort zone that’s slowly getting back to life. Every dusting, every new color, every gentle ritual reminds you that homes aren’t static—elements can change as you do. Go one step at a time; the house will eventually feel like a sanctuary again, built on love, grief, and new beginnings.

Clean Up Every Corner of Your Home

Keeping the Home Grief‑Free When a Loved One Is Gone

When someone you love leaves the world, the weight of sorrow can feel like a giant backpack hanging on your chest. Certain rooms—like the kitchen where you shared meals or the bedroom where you watched late‑night movies—can be especially heavy to stay in because they’re packed with memories. The feeling gets even trickier if the loss was sudden, like a suicide. The surge of emotions can make it all feel like one big storm, and trust us, that’s totally normal.

Why a Clean‑Up Might Help Your Healing

    • Respect for Space: The house is where you raised memories; clean it up respectful of the past.
    • Safety First: You want a spot free from any lingering mess that might affect health.
    • Peace of Mind: A tidy home can help you feel more in control as you navigate grief.

What to Expect from a Professional “Sacred” Clean‑Up

Don’t go solo on this mission—specialty remediation teams are trained to handle situations where emotions run high and chain crimes. These pros:

    • Be Gentle and Discreet: Handling each corner with the care it deserves.
    • Use Safe Sanitizers: Keeping every surface germ‑free and odor‑free.
    • Respect Legal Boundaries: They step in only after the authorities finish their deal.
    Quick FAQ
    When can they actually arrive?
Only after the police finish their investigation.
Why is that rule in place?
It’s all about keeping evidence intact and respecting legal processes.

When this tough journey feels like an endless load, remember: taking care of your living space can be an act of kindness to the memories you share, and help pave the way for healing. Let seasoned experts do the heavy lifting—they’re built to handle the rough waters with respect and professionalism, so you can focus on finally letting your heart breathe again.

Give Yourself Permission to Move at Your Own Pace

    Slow‑Down, Breathe, Rebuild

After you’ve given your space a thorough deep‑clean, the next big move is to give yourself permission to chill. You don’t have to jump straight back into work mode—just let that hurt feel it and let the emotions do their thing.

    Why Chaos Isn’t a Problem

    • Instant perfection isn’t realistic—you’ll find that the “restored” look may still not feel right.
    • It’s fine to take a break—group, tangle, or piece together your style gradually.

    Grief Is a Personal Journey

Everyone grieves their own way. Don’t pretend it’s all one set of dates or steps. Give yourself the time you need to sort out the feelings, and don’t push yourself into changes that feel ahead of the curve.

    Small Steps, Big Results
    • Start with tiny tasks—maybe a single shelf or a single corner.
    • Feel the momentum before moving onto the next one.
    • Celebrate each small victory—you deserve it!

Remember, rebuilding a space is like healing a wound: it takes patience, a sprinkle of humor, and the grace to let yourself move at your own pace.

Create a Ritual of Letting Go

    Light‑Hearted Let‑Go Rituals

When you’re ready, it can feel pretty powerful to toss out some of the physical stuff that reminds you of a loss. Think clothes, you‑got‑me-objects, or anything that holds a bit of nostalgia.

Step 1: Create Your Chill Zone

    • Pick a quiet corner where you can breathe easy.
    • Light a candle if you’re into that vibe.
    • Spin some mellow tunes, or just sit in the blissful silence.

Step 2: Cue the Ritual Magic

    • Grab each item one by one.
    • Pause, look it over, and give a quick shout-out: “You did your job.”
    • Feel the weight lift as you let each memory drop in.

    Why this Works

Taking a few minutes to honor the significance of each piece can actually ease the grief flow. It’s like giving your emotions a gentle hug—plus, you get to clean up a few extra cluttered spots.

Revitalize Your Space: Wellness Journey After Loss

Taking Good‑Bye to the Next Level

Sometimes letting go feels like trying to untye a knot that’s been tied for ages – it’s frustrating, messy, and you can’t decide if you want to make a clean exit or keep that rugby ball you’ve never worn off your shelf.

Why “Good‑Bye” Isn’t a Big Deal If You Keep a Few Things

    • Keep the stuff that fixes your mood. – If a worn‑out hoodie or that one special mug can bring a smile, keep it.
    • Let the rest go. – Toss or donate the junk box that’s been gathering dust. It will free up space for new memories.
    • Feel the freedom. – Your home will feel like a fresh chapter; it’s less about erasing the past and more about creating room for healing and growth.

A Quick Checklist for Your Clean‑Up Journey

    1. Scan & decide.

  • Wrap up the treasures.
  • Tag a donation.
  • Reward yourself. – Coffee, a new playlist, or an extra croissant. You’ve earned it!

  • Bottom Line: The Aim Isn’t to Erase, It’s to Make Space

When you let go, you’re not wiping history – you’re giving yourself a clear, tidy space for the next chapters of your life. So go ahead, pick those comfort items, say your good‑byes, and start living the fresh story you deserve.

    Redefine Your Space with Intention

    Fresh Space, Fresh Start

When you declutter, think of it as a fresh canvas for the next chapter of your life. What do you want this new vibe to feel like? Imagine turning your room into a zen zone that mirrors the updated YOU.

Quick Ideas to Flip the Scene

    • Swap the Sofa: Move it closer to the window or across to a new room—literally shift your perspective.
    • Art Attack: Hang a bold piece or a quirky print that screams “me!”
    • Read‑Nook Rapture: A soft chair, a lamp, and a heap of books—complete with a cozy blanket.
    • Green Living: Plants and flowers not only add color but also remind you that life grows, even in a tiny pot.

Why It Matters for Your Mind

A revamped space is more than just decoration—it’s a daily visual reminder that you can adapt and thrive. A calm, safe environment helps you hit the emotional reset button when the world feels tumultuous.

    Bottom Line

Reinventing your surroundings is a fun, tangible way to celebrate your inner resilience and invite serenity into your everyday.

Change Your Home Color Schemes and Scents

Refresh Your Pad for a Fresh Start

Why Your Walls Are Actually the Hero of Healing

Did you know the colors on your walls can feel more powerful than a therapy session? After a big loss, the vibe of your home might be the quietest part that still speaks loud. A fresh vibe can help calm the storm inside.

Colour Picker 101: Find Your Comfort Zone

    • Pastels & Light Tones: Ideal for a gentle, calming backdrop—think soft blues, pinks, or creamy neutrals that whisper “you’re safe.”
    • Earthy Hues: Greens, browns, and muted terracotta can ground you, giving that “just planted a seed” feel.
    • Bright Pops (Optional): If you’re craving a burst of happiness, add a splash of coral or sunny yellow—just not too loud.

When Paint Feels Taxing: Lighten Up

Heavy, dark shades can feel like a weight on your chest. Swap them for lighter shades or add fresh paint to a single wall. Decorative accents or fun textiles—throw on a new curtain, a cozy rug, or a vibrant throw pillow—can change the mood instantly.

Smell Like You’re on Your Own Road to Well‑Being

Scents can lift or soothe faster than a coffee break. A few diffusions of lavender or chamomile can signal “relax.” Or try a citrus spread for that zing of energy. Just switch up the room’s aroma each day to keep it fresh.

A Quick Checklist to Get It Done

    • Identify the color that resonates with your mood.
    • Pick a new paint or accent, and go for lighter shades if you’re feeling heavy.
    • Introduce a scent that matches the vibe—calming or energizing.
    • Switch up your décor to keep things lively.

All these tiny changes can work together to create a space that feels like a warm hug. Give yourself that chance to lean into comfort, and let your home remind you that healing can start from the walls around you. Happy decorating!

Dedicate a Tribute Space (If It Feels Right)

    Building a Little Memory Corner

Why You’ll Love Having a Tribute Spot

Sometimes the best way to keep moving forward is to give your memories a cozy home. A dedicated nook where photos, mementos, and notes can hang out feels like a personal hug for your heart.

    Setting It Up

    • Pick the Spot—a quiet corner, a spare shelf, or a window frame works great.
    • Gather the Stuff—anything that sparks a smile: yellowed love letters, favorite snapshots, or that button you never want to lose.
    • Arrange With Care—use a photo frame or a floating shelf; just make sure it’s reachable and easy to peek at.

    What It Feels Like

Think of it as a “mini museum” for your own heart. Anytime you feel a bit blue, drop by, look at the faces and scenes, and let the nostalgia gently guide you back to brighter days.

    Keep It Light and Fun

Feel free to add a comedic touch—maybe a small chalkboard with “The Battle of the Cookie Jar” or a goofy note that says “Hero Yes, You!”

    In Short…

A personal shrine isn’t about solemn reverence; it’s about celebrating the legacy that lives on. Set it up, visit it often, and let it be your secret cheering squad wherever you turn.

    Image1

Turning a Space into a Gentle Tribute

Choosing the right spot can make all the difference. Think about where you feel most relaxed—maybe the sunny corner of your living room, a snug nook in the bedroom, or even that peaceful spot in your garden that feels like a private haven.

    Ways to Honor Their Essence

    • Floral Touches – sprinkle in a few of their favorite blooms, whether they were bright sunflowers or sweet lilacs.
    • Artistic Keepsakes – hang a piece they painted, or even display a photograph that captures those moments you shared.
    • Soft Ambiance – light a candle or two that brings a gentle, comforting glow.
    • Personal Touches – maybe add a small memento, like a pressed leaf or a tiny bottle of their favorite perfume.

Little Tips for a Cozy Tribute

Make sure the area is easy to reach, so you can visit it whenever you need a quick heart‑to‑heart.

Keep the vibe calm and personal—no need for anything pretentious.

    Final Thought

By weaving small, meaningful details into a space that feels like home, you create a living memory that you can return to whenever you need a warm hug from the past.

    Wrapping Up

Rebuilding Your Sanctuary After Saying Goodbye

Why a Refreshed Space Can Be Your Secret Superpower

When someone you deeply love leaves your life, everything feels like it’s been tuned to a different frequency. The rooms you once filled with their laughter now echo with echoes of what was.

But here’s the good news: you can rewrite that story right inside your own walls. Think of your space as a canvas that says, “I’m healing, and I’ve got this.” It’s all about carving out a spot that feels like a hug in hard times.

Step One: Treat Yourself Like a VIP

    • Skip the self‑critique. Remember, you’re a walking masterpiece, not a broken record.
    • Give yourself a timeout—no harsh judgments, just a soft pause.
    • Wrap the word “sorry” (for yourself) around a cozy blanket; you deserve the care.

Step Two: Turn Your Room Into a Sanctuary

Picture your living area as a comfy campfire: warm, safe, and ready to tell stories of resilience.

    • Place photos that bring a grin without a tear.
    • Light a candle or two—aroma therapy is underrated.
    • Set a playlist that’s softer than a hug.
Step Three: Embrace the Promise Ahead

Make your renovations feel like open invitations to the future. Each tweak should whisper, “I’m ready for what’s next.”

    • Start a journal that flips between memories and bold dreams.
    • Create a vision board that’s a swarm of bright ideas rather than a single spot.
Daily Rituals for a Long‑Term Haven

Making peace is more than aesthetics—it’s a rhythm of caring habits. Try these:

    • Meditation at sunrise for a fresh start.
    • Weekly “wins” listed on sticky notes to celebrate progress.
    • A tiny desk corner for doodle moments that spark creativity.

With intentionality, compassion, and a dash of humor, your space can evolve into a safe haven that earns an “A+ for well‑being” rating. And remember, the journey is yours—let your environment be the backstage where it all unfolds.

  • Cowboy Tees: Where Comfort Meets Western Swagger

Cowboy Tees: Where Comfort Meets Western Swagger

Why Cowboy Tees Are a Must‑Have for the Modern Trailblazer

Think of a hoodie that feels as cozy as a farmer’s handshake and as bold as a western showdown. That’s a cowboy tee. It swaps the rigid look of a button‑down for the relaxed freedom of a high‑swing shirt, letting you channel the rugged spirit of the West without breaking a sweat.

    How They Work

    • Comfort first – Soft, breathable cotton keeps you cool whether you’re wrangling cattle or tripping down a coffee shop aisle.
    • Style points – From the flag‑flaring “Re‑Open” slogan to the classic muted western motifs, the designs run the gamut from daring to understated.
    • Versatility – Ready for the dusty saddle or the glossy pavements of downtown, these tees don’t care where you’re headed.

Why Dirty Cowboy MFG. Rocks the Scene

Dirty Cowboy MFG. is the go‑to place for anyone craving authenticity paired with a splash of trend. They’ve built a reputation for honest craftsmanship and bold design, striking the right balance between heritage and contemporary vibe.

    Trustworthy Craftsmanship

Every tee is a testament to quality – from the stitching that means it will outlast your grand‑dad’s horse to the finishes that keep the colors as sharp as a boot heel on a hot day.

    A Game‑Changing Look

Unlike the generic prints that feel like a generic tailgate, Dirty Cowboy’s tees hit the sweet spot of sentimental and chic. They’re perfect for the die‑hard western fan who also wants to blend seamlessly into the city’s rhythm.

    The Bottom Line

Grab a cowboy tee from Dirty Cowboy MFG. and step into a piece of western heritage that won’t cramp your style or your stride. It’s all about keeping it real and fun—because a good shirt should make you feel like you’re riding high on a sunset breeze, whether you’re outside or inside.

How Cowboy Tees Capture the Spirit of the West

Why Cowboy Tees Are the Modern Day Heroes of Style

It’s more than a shirt. Cowboy tees tell a story—whether it’s a roaring bronco splashed across the chest or a sleek logo that whispers “Western vibes.” They’re the kind of wardrobe piece that lets you flaunt your love for the open range without having to saddle up a real horse.

What Makes a Great Cowboy Tee?

    • Boldness – A fearless graphic that turns heads at the grocery store.
    • Subtlety – An understated crest that reminds you of cowboy heritage.
    • Authenticity – Designs that feel true to the rodeo spirit while keeping it stylish.

Dirty Cowboy MFG: Crafting the Stamp of Quality

Dirty Cowboy MFG is the go-to maker for tees that feel like they belong on a sunset ride through the plains. Their design team blends rustic charm with urban flair, turning every shirt into a statement, not just a piece of clothing.

Feel the Connection, Even When You’re Far from the Frontier

Need to remind the world you’re part cowboy in spirit? Throw on one of these tees. Whether you’re at a coffee shop or a corporate meeting, you’ll still showcase that Western soul. It’s like having a piece of the wild west tucked into your pocket—except it’s comfortable and probably a lot cheaper than a real ranch.

Wrap Up: The Heroic Appeal of Cowboy Tees

If you’ve ever wanted to feel the freedom of the open plains while being stuck in city traffic, a cowboy tee is your ticket. With Dirty Cowboy MFG at the helm, you’re guaranteed a shirt that’s both authentic and cool, turning heads and keeping you comfy all day long.

Comfort That Never Compromises on Style

Why Cowboy Tees are the Ultimate Comfort Heroes

    • Layering Perks – Throw a jacket over the tee for an urban Western vibe. It’s like wearing a swaggering suit, but with the comfort of a T‑shirt.
    • Versatile Wardrobe Staple – Whether you’re at a backyard BBQ or a weekend market, a cowboy tee blends effortlessly into any setting.

    The Dirty Cowboy MFG Advantage

Dirty Cowboy MFG. knows that fit matters more than anything. They only use top‑tier fabrics to keep those shirts soft without compromising style. Whatever your occasion, these tees keep you looking sharp and feeling cozy.

Cameron Wickline: The Unsung Tower of the EFSC Titans

Who’s the guy? Cameron Wickline, a 6‑foot‑5 defender hailing from Melbourne, Florida, was the kind of player who kept his feet on the ground while the big boys were soaring. He skated onto the basketball stage for Eastern Florida State College (EFSC) during the 2022‑23 men’s season, and though he didn’t fill the scoreboard, he filled the gap on the bench with his steady presence.

Key Stats: Small Numbers, Big Impact

    • Games Played: 26
    • Minutes per Game: 7.8
    • Points per Game: 1.4
    • Field‑Goal % (FG%): 48.3%
    • Three‑Point % (3P%): 30%
    • Rebounds per Game: 1.4
    • Defensive Presence: solid, no highlight reels but crucial for keeping the glass clean

Picture it: a tall guard squeezing into his role, making every heartbeat count. No flashy dunks or legendary buzzer‑beaters, just the quiet heroics that see the team through tough stretches.

Moment to Remember: Polk State College, February 11, 2023

Late in the game, the Titans trailed by a few points. Wickline steps in for 9 minutes, stacks up 2 points on a perfect 1‑of‑1 shot, and still helps the team snatch a 87‑79 win. That’s the life of a role player: you may get only a handful of shots, yet you’re the backbone that keeps the team afloat.

    Why He Matters

Think of Wickline as the “glue guy.” He may not be the main scorer, but:

    • His consistency in practice shows up in game moments.
    • With solid shooting efficiency, he’s a smart choice when the coach pulls him in.
    • His defensive steadiness safeguards the rim, letting the starting lineup shoot with confidence.
    Final Riff: The Subtle Hero

In a season full of roaring stars, Wickline remained the quiet fulcrum, a silent chant marching on the sidelines, blasting “you can do it!” in his head. It’s a reminder that in basketball, as in life, the unsung heroes often carry the load while everyone else is busy stealing the spotlight.

Snow, Sleds, and Scoreboards: Meet Space Coast’s Trailblazing Sled Hockey Heroes

Ever wonder what it feels like to ditch the sticks and glide across the ice on a sled? That’s the magic of Sled Hockey, an adaptive sport that lets anyone with a mobility challenge get in on the action. Whether you’re a single‑or‑double amputee, a person with a spinal cord condition, or just someone who stumbled too hard on a bike ride, the rink is open hands‑plus‑snow wide!

The Unsung Athletes Behind the Sport

    • Disabled vets who gave their service and now give their all on the ice.
    • Adults rattled up by car or motorcycle accidents now slicing passes with style.
    • People born with spina bifida, autism, MS, and other conditions proving that spirit is stronger than any limitation.

Most of these champions hail from Brevard County, but spreads have slipped in from Orange, Seminole, and Indian River Counties like a friendly game of tag.

Space Coast Sled Hockey: The Powerhouse That Keeps on Giving

Over time, this organization has fostered seven elite Team USA sled hockey stars—each a living testament to grit and perseverance.

Meet the current USA Team lineup:

    • Brett Bolton & Chris Douglas – Today’s World Champs.
    • Greg Shaw – A former Team USA legend and twice‑gold medalist at the Paralympics.
    • Karina Villegas – A former USA Women’s Development star.

And the future’s shining bright with the development squads:

    • Sean Gallagher & Nicholas Witowski – Rising men’s dev stars.
    • Madeleine Gallagher – A woman’s dev gem who won gold at the 2022 women’s world championship. Talk about being a double win!

    Why It Matters

This isn’t just about ice rinks and scores; it’s a reminder that limits are just a starting point. Space Coast Sled Hockey turns obstacles into opportunities, proving every athlete—whether on wheels or on boards—can roll, glide, and score domestic legions of glory.

EFSC’s debut in the season sprint wrapped up in a respectable third place—no small feat, given the heavy hitter roster it faced. Rising star Mila Tang clinched the title of individual champion, proving she’s not just a pretty face on the tee; she’s a pro on the green.

Windy Golf Week: A Test of Skill and Brains

    Coach Jamie Howell Speaks

“Came out and the wind was flipping everything—but the team handled it with class,” says Eastern Florida State College’s women’s golf coach, Jamie Howell.
The shout of gale made each drive more of a daring act, but the players kept their focus. Howell added, “Not easy conditions, but I was genuinely happy with how they tackled it.”

    What Wind Does for Players

    • Requires extra mental focus
    • Tests shot timing and ball trajectory
    • Makes practice sessions feel like a real tournament

“Practicing in these conditions takes a lot out of players, but I liked what I saw,” the coach continued.

First Taste of Duran Golf Club

Seminole State and Eastern Florida State College are getting a sneak preview of the venue that will host the Southeast District Lady’s Championship on April 14–15. Howell explained, “We’re going to play the district tournament at Duran, and now we get to experience it under actual tournament conditions, not just in practice or qualifying. Different stuff—always worth it.”

    Schedule Highlights

    • First two rounds: Monday
    • Final round: Tuesday

With the course layout familiarized ahead of the big games, the teams are poised to face the wind with confidence and precision.

    District 22 All‑Star Baseball Showdown

Mid‑night lights, sweaty slugger hands, and the sweet smell of popcorn—yes, the 8/9/10 baseball division went into full‑tilt Wednesday night at Port St. John’s Space Coast Communities Sports Complex. The little league champs were ready to give the big league a run for its money.

Field 1: Mims LL vs. Port St. John LL

    • Opening act (1st inning): Julius Robinson slipped into first on an error, then stole the show with a single by Mason Partridge—victory lane, baby!
    • Mims rally (3rd‑4th): The Mims guys answered with three runs in the 3rd (Browning, Primmer, Thorne) and then kept the momentum: Jeffery Huff, Luke Minnear, and Giani Avila (who stole a run on a passed ball after an RBI triple).
    • Half‑time heroics (4th‑5th): Port Sam scored again with Coakley and Partridge, but Mims had a 6‑3 advantage going into the 5th. Lucas Reechy, Joe Sumne, and Kaiden Kish followed up with runs, turning the game into a 9‑4 runaway.
    • Walk‑off finish (6th): Mims went baseball‑silent over the top of the 6th, while Port St. John took advantage of 4 walks, a hit batter, and several singles, punctuated by a runaway by Ace Ellershaw. So the score chalked up to 10‑9 for a thrilling win.

Field 2: Indian River City LL vs. Merritt Island All‑Stars

    • Kick‑off (1st): The CRS L‑League cracked open the scoreboard with Bryson English, Waylon Mack‑Weller, and Caiden O’Connor. Merritt Island’s boys dipped back with Jackson Wartell, Cooper Milton, Solomon Connel and Henry Deranjo.
    • Second‑inning surge: Wartell and Milton kept the charge, and a comeback attempt by Damien Casillas pulled it close—scores: 3‑7 after two sets.
    • Third‑inning fireworks: An italic walk‑off‑style hit by Jaxon Cotten wadded the tally to 10‑6; Merritt Island stayed ahead with Sammy Day and Hudson Esposito.
    • Mid‑game grind: Rylan Wyatt sparked an RBI for Indian River City, but Merritt Island’s Casillas, Esposito (twice) and Day pushed the lead to 13‑6 heading into the fifth. A big fall‑through from the Indians came in the sixth, but it was a mere 13‑7 victory for Merritt Island.

Both fields gave us a touch of pride, hysteria, and a whole lot of baseball–flavored action—an evening that was sure to leave the players smiling and the parents bragging for weeks.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Terry Spain and Zane Garcia of the Space Coast Daily–Friday Night Locker Room team will be on the call as the Rockledge Raiders travel to the Eau Gallie Commodores on Friday.
Live coverage will begin at 6:45 p.m. The kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
RECAP FROM A SEASON AGO: Many years ago, you would not usually see a Rockledge and Eau Gallie matchup. Well, the two have become familiar with one another, playing five of the last six years. Rockledge has the edge in the previous five, winning the first three, while the Commodores have won the last two.
Last year’s bout between the two was not much of a game as Eau Gallie ran away with it 40-0. Not much to say about the Rockledge side of the ball, but much can be said that the Commodores are not the team that gets pushed around anymore.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Both sides took a tough loss in week one and would like to bounce back. Eau Gallie went on the road and faced a very talented Vero Beach Indians team, and Rockledge played cross-town rivals in Viera.

Eau Gallie defeated 41-31 in that matchup, but it took a bigger loss as starting quarterback Joseph Allen was injured in the first quarter with a severe knee injury that could have him sidelined for several games.
Rockledge, on the other hand, had control of the game nearly through the duration of it, but the gutsy playing calling of Viera Hawks head coach Tony Gulla prevailed. The Hawks would convert on a two-point attempt after scoring a late fourth-quarter touchdown, giving them a 22-21 victory.
While the loss for the Commodores was upsetting, their resilience in fighting back in the game showed. An all-around amazing showcase for freshman athlete, X’Zavier Corbin, has to keep Eau Gallie fans hopeful that they will still be a force to be reckoned with throughout this season. Corbin scored three touchdowns in his first official high school football game, even more impressive coming against a Vero Beach team loaded with talent.
The Raiders’ loss will leave a sour taste not only for the next week but also for the entire season, as they try to put the game behind them and identify any positives they can take away from it. The success of the Raiders’ underclassmen will be a pivotal point in winning games.
WHERE TO WATCH: The Friday night showdown between the Commodores and Raiders will be live on the Space Coast Daily Facebook page as well as the Space Coast Daily YouTube page just ahead of the 7 p.m. kickoff.

  • Brevard Basketball Icon and Space Coast Hall of Famer Dead at 83

Brevard Basketball Icon and Space Coast Hall of Famer Dead at 83

Don Smith passed away at the age of 83 in Montana

    Don Smith’s Basketball Breakthrough

In 1985, the Brevard Community College men’s basketball scene was a flat‑lined lake—no bright prospects on the horizon. Then came Don Smith, a coach with a spark in his eyes and a game plan that was basically a masterclass in turning anything around.

    First Season, Big Impact

Within weeks of stepping onto the job, Smith’s team hit the court with a new rhythm. The record? 21 wins—that’s like flipping a coin and getting heads all the time!

    •  No more “average” seasons.
    •  Players suddenly felt a sense of purpose.
    •  The whole campus buzzed with excitement.

    Why the Uplift?

Smith didn’t just coach; he inspired. His approach was a blend of tough love, clever tactics, and a touch of humor that kept the squad squared‑up. It turns out a good laugh can be as valuable as a great play strategy.

    Legacy in a Snap

The video that surfaced in 2020 shows Coach Smith in the moment when a freshman slam‑dunked his first championship point. That clip was more than a highlight—it was a declaration that nothing less than courage, ingenuity, and a sprinkle of comedic timing could write a new chapter in Brevard’s basketball saga.

    Coach Don Smith’s Hall‑of‑Fame Moment

Imagine the smell of pine‑soaked stadiums, the roar of a crowd that’s been cheering your every dribble and dive for years, and then, in the flash of a spotlight, Coach Don Smith takes the stage for an acceptance speech that feels like a warm hug.

What He Said (Straight from the Heart)

First off, gratitude drips like sunscreen on a Florida afternoon:

    • “Thanks to my kids, who survived my dad jokes and still kept cool on game day.”
