As 2022 approached, celebrities had the inspiration to try out new things, and they proved that true with their beautiful and bold hair transformations throughout the year.
Several stars rushed to their favorite salons to start the year fresh with a chic cut, trend-setting color or extra length with the help of extensions. Some opted for a natural finished look while others are decided to go all out with their eye-catching styles. TBH, almost all of our favorite celebrities underwent a drastic hair transformation this year and slayed their new looks.
Celebrity hairstylist Maggie Semaan told Spécial Madame Figaro Arabia that 2022 would be the year of “relaxed, effortless and natural looks.” She even claimed “less” was “definitely” going to be “more” and she was right! Stars like Doja Cat and Dixie D’Amelio shaved their heads, kissing their long hair goodbye!

Of course, celebs love to go full glam on the red carpet, so we also saw a ton of tousled updos, balayage locks and brunette bombshells at the biggest events.
Glee actress Lea Michele, who is known for having a longer mane, went to see her go-to hairstylist Tommy Buckett for a blunt bob for her “first haircut” of the year. She appeared to crop several inches of length during her visit.
“I hope everyone is as brave this year as @leamichele to make a big change,” he wrote about the star’s makeover.

Lea echoed those sentiments by sharing a selfie showcasing her new look, captioned, “2022 ready.”

Chrissy Teigen also debuted a switch-up herself, showing fans her shoulder-length chop, which was also a bit blonder courtesy of Luke Pluck Rose.
The cookbook author was proud to unveil her do just after kicking off the new year writing, “Fresh cut! I know I know snip snap snip snap.” 
Dancing With the Stars alum Olivia Jade Giannulli wowed fans by sharing a pic with her temporary color, ditching her lighter locks for a rich new chocolate hue. However, the YouTuber went back to her honey blonde once the fall season approached!
